a spruce bug is a beetle type insect, that bites hard and are known to take chunks out of someone, the ones I've seen are about 3to4 inches long, they are common in northern Ontario, where I'm from

These sound interesting, I'm going to look on google to see what they look like. But they sound really pleasent (not!!), no wonder you have a phobia of them, I probably would.

yeah I just looked. I won't post a picture in case you don't want to look at them, but I tell ya, they would creep the hell outta me if I was around them. They sound like vicious little creepers in all. I read some stories from some people who also live in Northern Ontario, and I think someone said one got on his window in the car and trying to get it off with the wipers, and all it did was hiss. They really do sound horrible.

when I was young, maybe 5 or 6, I was walking home from school and was walking through some thick grass and I got home and felt something in my hair. I grabbed it and threw it on the ground and freaked out when I saw it. A few years later I was bitten by one, took a nice sized chunk outta me

Agoraphobia's the most dibilitating. The most extreme form of that is fear of everything. Couldn't imagine having that one. I don't like snakes or spiders. Just creepy things.

I couldn't imagine that either, I feel so sorry for anyone who does.
And dante, sorry to hear about that. When you say chunk, how much of what did it take out?
